After reading the post on samuel's blog, i decided to post my own views here.Taxis taxis taxis..Bus Vs Taxi, which do u prefer?Buses travel on a longer route. Twists and turns around a particular place waste time.Also, buses do not guarantee a seat for oneself, especially during peak hours. Taxis give more privacy, that's for sure. This comes with a cost, a 45cents trip can skyrocket to a few bucks. Time is money, so if u save time u save money? This is crap. It depends on how the saved time is used. Watching p*rn, that's a waste. Taxis are air-conditioned and some buses lack air-conditioning. Taxis are already a necessity in our daily lives. Imagine a world without taxis. Houses far from bus stops and not easily reach-able through walking becomes a trouble. When u're late for either work or school or even any important activities not including funerals, there's no faster alternatives, what a dread. Lesser pollution? Yes. Opportunity cost? More uncomfortable life. Oh ya, and some taxi drivers do not know the locations of some destinations and the worst case is when they take longer routes instead of practising the good ethic of taking passengers by the fastest or shorter route in the safest possible way. However, some offer a range of choices of routes. Hiking fares protects taxi drivers from higher fuel prices but they pass that cost to us instead -.- So, taxi companies help taxi drivers, then who helps us? In return for these costs, they should at least be able to know the routes of certain places. If they dont know, then dont take that passenger. Being constantly asked on directions can be very irritating.For some people, money doesn't mean as much as impression. Im one of this kind of people, the impressionables hahaha crap. I would rather spend more money than be late.So many taxi companies around, so many numbers to remember. The more the merrier huh? Why dont they merge into one? No competition this way. Maybe the leading companies are not willing since they earn more themselves. SELFISH!hahaI have a question. Why is a mockingbird called a mockingbird? It must have mocked at someone to allow people to give it that name. Is it even possible that it can mock?
